Steve Knott is a 30 year veteran of the Club and Community Association Industry.  He holds a Florida CAM License, is a PGA Master Professional and Member of the Club Managers Association of America.

Club and Community Association leaders face policy and relationship challenges every day all across Florida.   State "sunshine laws" and complex documents govern how volunteer Associations Boards manage and conduct business.  Country Club governing documents, depending if the community is "membership mandatory", often result in confusion on how to operate under either one or two Boards.    

To further complicate, some Associations self-govern and others hire professional management.  The same holds true for the Club. It can be hard for these Boards to make good decisions with differing documents, governance mandates, and management structures.

This is where my years of experience can benefit your organization.  Legal advice is expensive and is not always needed to advise on policy or solve issues that arise frequently.
